Weight issues

Hello there..
I was just wondering the other day, on how much weight do I have due to cables and wiring... does it vary a lot with the length of the yacht? I have a 40 footer... and I think that there is about 60-100 kgs of cables if I sum the cabins' wiring, navigation, engine wiring, pumps, masts, etc... Has someone out there tried to weigh all the wiring? maybe during a refurbishment? Would a wireless system save a lot of weight or make it easier to install an electronic device...?
