Synthetic Teak decking

Post by RobMarine »

Hello, has anyone ever used a synthetic Teak deck? Are they any good? Are they easy / expensive to fit? :?
I have seen a few manufacturers but their websites make them look like quite small companies, who is the biggest?
I cannot decide between real teak and a synthetic alternative - from what I've seen they look exactly the same but the price is obviously different!

Thanks

The advantage of synthetic decking is that it needs very little maintenance, teak decking is usually screwed to the deck and with repeated scrubbing eventually needs replacing at a huge cost. I've seen TekDek on a boat and it looks good.
