Coastal Safety Guides (Navigation Lights)

Post by Safety @ Sea »

Safety At Sea UK Proudly works alongside & supports The RNLI

The RNLI exists to save lives at sea. As part of the RNLI's Prevention department, Coastal Safety does this by changing people's attitudes and behaviours towards safety on the water. By learning about your craft and its safety equipment, we believe that you will enjoy your sport a lot more. Their website is packed with innovative, in-depth advice that will help to keep you safe and explain what to do in an emergency.

This Topic is to test your knowledge on - Navigation Lights

With very few exceptions, any vessel that is under way at night is required to show navigation lights. As well as helping you spot other vessels in the dark, these lights will help you to judge which direction they are traveling and identify the type and size of the vessel.

To take this Simple Maritime test please click on the link below and feel free to leave your results & any comments you may have.
