Bilge water on a wooden boat, how much is normal ?

Post by DaveA »

Sixpence is an old plywood construction boat and I'm a bit worried by the ammount of water she has in her bilges. Not too much (about a mop bucket full each week) but as she's in fresh water I'm a bit concerned she may be taking on too much.
So how much bilge water is normal on a plywood boat ?

Thankfully I'm confident it's not the rain, her indoors would have a fit if she started leaking rain water all over her nice new upholstry
