Seeking history on East Coast Yacht

Have a natter in here about anything you like. Witty, serious, interesting, inspirational - anything goes. Just like your own yacht club bar - but electronic! :)

Seeking history on East Coast Yacht

Post by Tony »

Can anyone supply information on Yacht "Ocean Venture" an Ocean35 class boat, which was displayed at the Earls Court Boat show in 1950. There is also an article on the performance of the yacht in a yachting publication of 1950, which stated that "this sloop is the seventeenth and latest of her line built by the Wallasea Bay Yacht Station Ltd, Rochford Essex. The boat was sailed extensively along the East Coast, until the present owners sailed her to Portugal recently. They would appreciate any information from or about previous owners and any modifications carried out on the yacht. They are at present fitting a new engine. Hoping you all out there can help them. :?:
