Well, I think I definitely need more than I've had now for something like that. I'd be quite keen to do a rounding of the UK though.

Ah, another animal loving family. We had a terrible time over the last year - we moved to Devon with 3 rescue cats we'd had for some years. Everything was fine for 12 months, then within the space of a few months we had two run over and one go missing... I don't think a non pet lover could understan...

Lunar (a she not a he)... lots of reasons for the name but the eye patch is because she's a pirate!

Puppies make me all soppy - it's embarrassing hehe :)

Westerly Centaur - Bargain Price for Quick Sale

Grab yourself the bargain of the century: Selling our Centaur as we're upgrading. We've had her for 1 year and in that time have had the keels professionally removed and re-seated (April 08 ), installed a brand-new genoa (Chris Scanes Sept 08 ), had the mainsail serviced (Chris Scanes Sept 08 ), rem...

Hi Jav, you have similar aspirations to me - but you're about 1 year behind. I suggest first and foremost you do a sailing course - that's what I did. You'll almost certainly need to pass a theory course also if you intend to get some insurance. Once you've done that, the mammoth task begins of find...

Well, good news! Funds released from the bank, offer accepted on a boat. All being well, we should be living aboard a Westerly Tempest in Plymouth Yacht Haven in under a month! Will post up some pics when I have them.

Westerly Tempest is quite small, but the layout I think will work for us.

LOL Dave, that's the point of the advert - it's for Barclaycard's new payment system which doesn't need the card to touch anything - or something like that. :)

Dave that's such a shame! Glad it's nothing you can't sort, and that it clearly won't happen again now. It'll be more expensive in the marina I'm sure, but SO handy in so many ways compared to an awkward mooring like that other one.

How much is the marina charging you?

Hope you've got Sixpence tide up well, and well fendered! That looks VERY tidal! Is it usually calm water? Or will it get bouncy there? I'd be nervous with all that woodwork so close (I'm on a swing mooring). Congrats on getting there though! I know the feeling after a successful maiden voyage to a ...
