OK, what kind of fora does the "YBW forum" not offer? How about
- self-build designs, plans and resources
- navigation equipment
- onboard computer hardware
- marine software

There are some sailing charities in the South West that do good work and could do with more publicity (like Horizons in Mayflower). Maybe a forum for them here could be a focal point for them and giving them more publicity, with x-links to other sites to bring traffic back here.

I've noticed that people on YachtPals like to chat a bit about what's going on. "Regional Info & News & Events" would be a good place to post a full article, then post a snippet on YachtPals with "full article here -->" (link to YF article)

Here's a suggestion for you... a specific forum for each make &/or class of yacht. I've noticed that most of the Owners' Association websites that are for specific makes like Beneteau and J-Boats seem to lean heavily towards the US market. It would be good to encourage communication closer to ho...
