I actually purchased the Sextant that I noted in the link above. The site
www.nauticalselect.com has a liverperson aid on the site and I mentioned to them that I was doing a bit of research on nautical gift, decor and nautical sailing devises and that there price was a bit high. It turns out that "all" of their prices are set to the MSRP price. The lady then asked me well since you came this far all ready why don't I just give you a discount. She knocked 200.00 off the price of the Sextant and then said thanks for stopping in at nautical select gifts and decor. She gave me a discount code if anyone is interested in it. But I recommend the high dollar nautical gifts cause those are the ones that are marked up the highest. I am not in sales, that is just what this woman told me. So far I have only purchased two things but both times the prices where cheaper. Word to the wise, if your on a nautical shopping site or any other online shopping site. Just ask them for a discount and they will give you one.
